Doctrine and Covenants 19:16-19 Is one of the most beautiful and personal accounts we have of the atonement. Jesus details his suffering, “Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain” to convince us to repent and avoid that pain ourselves.
The text of our song for March is based on this scripture and Isaiah 53. It explores the concept of substitution. We are the sinners, but Christ took our punishment. He takes our pain, turns it into joy, and gives it back to us. He rescues us. I’m so grateful for His amazing gift. I’m also grateful to be able to share my testimony through music, and invite all of you to do the same. We are learning Easter music and would love to have you in choir!
We meet every Sunday at noon at the Matheson school house (1190 W Midvalley Rd)
Be joyful! And see you at choir!
