In a conference talk in October of 1994, Dallan H. Oaks said, “The singing of hymns is one of the best ways to put ourselves in tune with the Spirit of the Lord. ” Music is one of our most powerful forms of worship. It opens our souls to Heaven and to each other. We are all edified when we share our music with each other. Nowhere is this more true than in ward choir.
I’m so grateful to direct the choir. Anyone who wants to participate is always welcome.
We meet every Sunday at noon at the Matheson school house (1190 W Midvalley Rd) The piece we are singing for February is an arrangement of “Let Us All Press On”. This joyful piece, like the Come Follow Me lesson for that week, reminds us that we can conquer Satan, “for the Lord is on our side”.
Be joyful! And see you at choir!
